Can we measure Culture?

Back again a difficult question to answer: yes or not?

The organizational culture has always been considered 1. a critical element for the success of the organizations 2. a difficult element to empirically define being nebulous and with almost 176 definitions.

There are sceptics about measuring it and others who think that this can be done.

The approach used by Dr Tom Reader and Dr Alex Gillespie from the London School of Economics (LSE) has led an academic research project to develop a new approach to measuring corporate culture. This research has produced the Unobtrusive Corporate Culture Analysis Tool (UCCAT).

It is interesting to follow this further step forward towards a way to measure culture in organizations.
