TRANSFORAGE- 50 Thought Leading Companies IN RPA 2023-THINKER360
There are personal achievements that aim to increase your personal branding as a thought leader, and there are company recognitions that can justify positive efforts as a whole.
The fact that TRANSFORAGE TCA LTD has been included among the 50 Thought leading companies for Robotic Process Automation reflects different approaches in Management Consulting activities.
1. Business process analysis for RPA, KPIs and OKRs
Gathering requirements to develop and implement RPA is obviously an activity where BAs or Consultants themselves do, normally. In this case, considering the next point (Citizens developers), the approach is to train people on the minimum necessary elements, helping the Employees and Middle managers to work together while using their processes' experience ( day-to-day activities), and activate and reinforce cross-functional talks about issues or doubts sharing. At the same time, employees and middle managers get familiar with those metrics used at the beginning for the Business case and then transform them into KPIs to measure reached benefits after the RPA implementation. During this process, it emerges the opportunity to create a few but meaningful OKRs ( Objectives Key Results) connecting business strategy goals with the technical implementation, especially within strategic areas like sales, e-commerce, sales-marketing function, and logistics (deeper analysis here ).
2. Citizen developers for low-code and no-code RPA solutions
Low-code solutions involve people in developing and customising the bots used by RPA technology: technical training and assistance by the vendors, with a specification in the developments between unattended and attended bots.
No-code solutions instead involve people in customising platforms and tools to make processes and sub-processes automation happen with minimum training and technical assistance.
The rationale behind involving people directly instead of delegating the full development externally is based on the same principle used for process analysis and requirements: those who are involved in the bottom line have the experience matured on the day-to-day activities. No intermediate agents are to be called into action; supervising activities from middle managers and the Consultancy side (with a coaching approach, too ) ensure smoother implementation.
3. Agility-Iteration for building RPA flows
Despite the critics of Agile, some of its principles and approaches work much better than a classic waterfall approach. In this case, Business process requirements still stay mostly to understand and map those process flows that can or cannot be automated. However, during the code building and testing activity, the iteration approach enables better verifications, even of original requirements and immediate "fix" or change; without forgetting, iteration testing is also moment of critical thinking and analysis that can further improve experience first-hand and increase knowledge and practice of new technology.
4. Bottom-up approach
The bottom-up approach is based on the active participation of the bottom line, establishing what, how and when changes in current processes and sub-processes with automation happen. It starts with the Business process analysis, continues through the activity of Citizen developers, and ends with the iterative testing process and a progressive go-live.
5. Top-down and hybrid: strategy and change approach. What are the other approaches, and what do they look like compared with the bottom-up?
We connect the business strategy with our approach, the hybrid one.
Why? We want to avoid the risks that the Company focuses only on the technical implementation, ROI, and KPIs. Business strategy has its own goals, and we support the connection creation between TECH automation and the people who actively support using OKRs and business goals.
A synopsis of the different approaches is here:
TRANSFORAGE TCA LTD has been able, with its approach, to walk the talk. Talk expressed and shared with Digital articles. So far, we have managed four RPA projects, all of them B2B industry using a Hybrid approach and being proactive in selecting focused topics for Business process analysis training, allowing the bottom-line activities for change while supervising and supporting lower organisational levels during iterations and problem-solving during the projects. Being recognised as an RPA leader affirms that our methodology is revolutionary. More importantly, it's helping our clients future-proof their operations.
Thanks, Thinkers360, for this encouraging achievement: being part of a group of Giants in RPA WORLD.
